Since the first time I met Mariah & Zac, I knew that I just hit the jackpot for dream clients as their wedding photographer. Just days earlier, I responded to their Facebook post looking for a photographer for their wedding at the Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs, but with the amount of other photographers responding to their post, I didn’t have any expectations.

Typically, I take most of my intro calls to get to know potential clients over Zoom or Facetime, but this time around I decided to switch things up and see if they wanted to meet in person instead. The next thing I knew, a “quick 30-minute meeting to get to know each other” turned into three hours of grabbing drinks, sharing stories and brainstorming ideas for their wedding day, and man do they have some exciting plans for their Saratoga Springs wedding the same weekend as the Belmont Stakes.

About two months before their wedding, we hit the streets of Downtown Saratoga Springs for their engagement session, starting with a walk through Congress Park where they’ll have their ceremony, a quick dip in front of the Adelphi Hotel where Mariah will be getting ready on her wedding day and ending the night with a drink and photos at Harvey’s Pub, one of their favorite local bars. Being able to capture them in their element was an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to share their wedding photos with you once the time comes!
